Well-Read Black Girl Book Club Launch

  • Main Street Books 126 S Main Street Davidson United States (map)
Our goals are to introduce a cohort of diverse writers to future generations – contemporary authors who are non-binary, queer, trans, and disabled and to address inequalities and improve communities through reading and reflecting on the works of Black women.
— WRBG Book Club Founder, Glory Edim

Main Street Books is proud to serve as an ambassador of the Well-Read Black Girl Book Club. The WRBG Book Club began as an online community and evolved to become an in-real-life book club hosted nationwide. Indie bookstores around the country are partnered with Well-Read Black Girl to bring book club meetings to independent bookstores with the goal of amplifying Black women writers.

Main Street Books will launch its Well-Read Black Girl Book Club with a special meeting on Thursday, October 10th at 7 PM.

Our aim is to center and amplify the voices of Black women writers and celebrate their achievement in the literary world. Our WRBG Book Club is an inclusive affinity space for readers interested in this literary endeavor.
